Shelby Goldsmith earned her BFA in Metalsmithing & Jewelry at Maine College of Art in 2014. In 2016 she was awarded the Belvedere Fund, an alumni professional development grant, which she used to purchase a torch and ventilation system for her home studio. She resides in Maine, where she teaches continuing studies classes at Maine College of Art and Artascope.
Shelby serves as the secretary to The Metals Collective, a Portland based group of makers whose mission is to promote the craft of metalsmithing & jewelry through collaboration and public engagement. Currently, Shelby is participating in When Given the Same Guidelines, a three month long guidelines-driven project, created by Brie Flora.
